Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has handy and compact rooms, especially in the Captain section we stayed in, with 2' plastic keys for entry. The rooms faced the front with early morning noise from bins being emptied, and we encountered issues with fridge temperature control. The service was amazing and interactive, especially for children, though there were some disappointments with the dining options. The location is fantastic, ideal for visiting attractions like the wax museum and fish spa. Overall, a value-for-money stay with great staff but with some room for improvement in certain areas.
The hotel had a great location on the Gold Coast but had some issues with certain facilities. The rooms were a bit dated but served our needs. The service was friendly, but there were some professionalism concerns. Dining was average, with additional charges for hot food. The junior water park closure due to high chlorine levels was a major disappointment for families.
The hotel's location was superb, a short walk to Cavill Avenue and all that Surfers Paradise has to offer. The rooms were a bit dated and didn't feel entirely clean, with basic amenities and a malfunctioning, noisy air conditioner. Despite the lack of cleanliness, the friendly staff managed the busy environment well. Dining was only continental, not offering value for money. The price for the stay was reasonable, but some areas needed more staff to improve service efficiency.
The hotel is a bit tired but worth every cent for the fun the kids have. The rooms don't get serviced on Sundays and can feel dark and dismal, not reflecting that it's a kids' resort. However, it should have a toaster and some cutlery and plates. The service went beyond to make a special day, but some staff were rushing and didn't provide help with baggage. The location is not appealing with no seating or shelter in front of the Resort. The dining options were limited and not satisfying, not what you would expect from a buffet. The hotel offers happy hour and laundry services.
